Monika started out in adult life by working in Agriculture when she first injured her back, and then moved to the fitting of kitchens. Monika learned what skills are needed by carpenters, plumbers, electricians etc, all the while becoming very aware of how we use our own bodies, as her own back was suffering.
When she discovered Osteopathy and found great relief for the first time, she was so impressed, she bought into the profession. It's a big step to go back to college when you are in your late 30's, but she has never looked back.
After qualifying in June 1997, she started her practice in Stockwood, Bristol. Each year she continues and builds on her training with further studies to gain a better understanding of the human body, its intricately linked systems and about the biochemistry of the body and how the human mind can affect the speed of recovery.
Knowing what pain feels like, she has an acute understanding of where her patients are and a realistic view of how much can be achieved, as she walks together with them to a new and healthier life
